Introducing the Magnolia Clubhouse Project

The Magnolia Clubhouse Audio Project is a collaboration between Hawken Middle School and Magnolia Clubhouse, a community-based organization serving people who experience mental illness.

This work comes out of a one-week intensive course at Hawken, in which fifteen 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students received a crash course in audio production. In the process of learning interview skills and basic media production, students gained a deeper understanding of the often hidden challenges facing many members of the Greater Cleveland community. We received invaluable support from ideastream and the Center for Public History and Digital Humanities at CSU.
